Meet Kimberly Summit, MSAC, LAC

Kim earned her Backelor’s degree in Communications from Rutgers University, but she always had a strong interest in healthcare. Her path to acupuncture began when she was prescribed medications she was uncomfortable taking. Seeking a more natural approach, she tried acupuncture and experienced immediate relief after her first session. Continued treatments ultimately healed her, inspiring a new direction in her career.

In 1998, Kim enrolled at the Eastern School of Acupunture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, the first acupuncture school in New Jersey, and graduated in 2001 as part of its inaugural class of 12 students. Since then, she has pursued advanced training in a variety of modalities, including Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal; Five-Element Theory, and community-based care through Acupuncturists Without Borders. Licensed in New Jersey since 2002, Kim brings over 24 years of experience and specializes in styles such as Kiiko Matsumoto Japanese Acupuncture, Five Element Theory, Dr. Richard Tan’s Balance Method, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Sa’am. She has trauned with respected leaders in the field, including Jeffrey Yuen, Felice Dunas, Kiiko Matsumoto, Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, and Janice Mackenzie.
